About Me

My first memory of storytelling proceeds my ability to write.

When I was a kid, I spent hours creating nonsensical comics that could only be explained by the one-time-only narration I offered as I drew them. In fact, I have a memory of doing this very thing on the toilet for so long that an impression of the lid remained etched in red on the backs of my thighs when I stood. My head was full of stories, but I had no way to preserve them in words. That is, until my mom lovingly agreed to transcribe my wandering plotlines into Microsoft Word documents for me.

Nowadays, I can claim the honor of literacy myself. I have a passion for the fantastical, imaginative, and absurd. My stories are about adventure, mundanity, magic, nature, heroes, monsters, religion, the past, the future, and love. I am deeply touched by your interest in them.

I graduated from Kalamazoo College in Michigan in 2024, where the culminating thesis of my History-German double major was a fantasy novel. This was not a traditional approach, but I was lucky enough to be supported by my departments, and even received multiple accolades for it. As you read above, I had always been a writer, but it wasn’t until my book that it felt serious. I realized then that I had to be a writer, that I didn’t have a choice, that, like always, I had too many stories in my head to contain. I committed to the insane prospect of pursuing my wildest dreams, and moved across the country to give it a go.

I live in Portland, Oregon with my boyfriend and our two cats. Currently I am working on a novel, as well as a number of short stories. I am butch, queer, trans, Jewish, a Dungeon Master, an avid reader, artist, history buff, Midwesterner, and overall a big nerd. Thanks for stopping by!
